Emotion Identification in CI Users
Location: Gallaudet University in downtown DC
|
Overview
Identifying a talker's emotions from their tone of voice can be difficult for people with cochlear implants. In this study, we are testing which cues people with CIs use to figure out what emotion a talker is expressing. Participants will (1) complete a short background questionnaire, (2) do hearing and speech-in-noise screenings, (3) listen to sentences spoken with different emotions.
